Hoolo is a macOS desktop utility for file organization, Trash policies, and app leftover cleanup. File processing stays on your Mac. Optional iCloud rule sync stores only the configuration data needed to keep rules consistent across your Macs.
Information processed locally
To provide its core features, Hoolo may read and store local information on your device, including file paths, folder metadata, rule settings, cleanup history, operation snapshots, ignored items, license state, and app cleanup candidates. This information is used to show results, run rules, support rollback, and avoid unsafe cleanup suggestions.
Files and cleanup results
Hoolo does not need to upload your personal files to perform folder monitoring, rule execution, Trash management, or local app leftover detection. Cleanup decisions are shown inside the app before user-facing actions are applied.
Optional iCloud rule sync
When you enable iCloud rule sync, Hoolo writes rule configuration, exclusions, ordering, and modification metadata to the Hoolo folder in your own iCloud Drive. Hoolo does not upload the files being organized or their contents. Storage and transport through iCloud are provided by Apple and are subject to your Apple account and iCloud terms.
Payments and licensing
Purchases are handled by a hosted checkout provider. Payment details, tax calculation, local payment methods, and billing records are processed by the checkout provider and its payment partners. Hoolo may receive purchase status, license status, and basic transaction metadata required to activate the product and provide support.
Support
If you contact support, we use the information you provide, such as your email address, device details, screenshots, logs, or purchase information, only to answer your request, verify license status, diagnose issues, and improve the product.
Retention
Local app data remains on your Mac until you remove it through Hoolo, macOS, or manual deletion. Support emails and purchase records may be retained as needed for customer support, fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, and dispute handling.
Your choices
You can remove Hoolo from your Mac, delete local rules and history, revoke macOS permissions, or contact support to ask about purchase and support records associated with your email address.
